Hello everyone,
We are back in Charleston and Pelham saw the cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. DeRosimo today. Pelham will undergo another surgery Friday 9/7 to place a catheter into his lung so we can hook it to a bottle every couple of days at home to drain. It is not a fix, but a management of the fluid until a cause for the pleural effusion can be found. They still have no clue what is causing it. So keep us in our prayers and hopefully we will be back home next week. GO TIGERS!

Hello folks,
We returned home from Charleston last night and will go back Tuesday morning for an appointment with the thoracic surgeons. Not sure if and when he will have the second pleurodesis. They have mentioned the possibility of inserting an indwelling catheter into his lung that would continously drain the fluid. We still do not know the cause. Hope you all have a restful and great Labor Day.
